Our Business Planning & Investment Services in Ireland

From early-stage startups to corporate expansion, we offer end-to-end support across four service areas.

01

  • Market research and feasibility: demand, competitor and pricing analysis for Ireland, the UK and EU export markets, including feasibility studies that can support grant applications.
  • Business model development: revenue models, pricing and channel strategy for an Irish base serving domestic and international customers.
  • Financial projections: three- to five-year models reflecting Irish costs and taxes, including 12.5% corporation tax, VAT, employer PRSI, pension auto-enrolment and the R&D tax credit.
  • Operational planning: premises, hiring, payroll, suppliers and regional location choices.
  • Strategic roadmapping: milestones linked to funding rounds, grant stages and international expansion.

02

  • Investment readiness: data room, cap table, share structure, shareholders’ agreement and governance clean-up.
  • VC and private equity advisory: preparing for and negotiating with Irish and international VC and PE funds.
  • Funding strategy: combining equity, bank finance, SBCI-backed loans, State agency funding and tax-advantaged investment in the right order.
  • Investor relations: reporting packs, board materials and investor updates.
  • M&A advisory: buy-side and sell-side support, valuation and due diligence for Irish companies.

03

  • Business plans for pre-seed and seed funding: structured for angels, accelerators, Enterprise Ireland’s Pre-Seed Start Fund and High Potential Start-Up (HPSU) applications.
  • Angel and incubator connections: introductions to angel networks such as HBAN, accelerators, Business Innovation Centres and university incubators.
  • Go-to-market strategy: launching in Ireland and using it as a base for the UK, EU and US markets.
  • Scaling support: hiring, structure, grant management and preparation for the next round.

04

  • Risk assessment: market, regulatory, currency (EUR/GBP/USD), tax and supply-chain risks.
  • Business continuity planning: continuity and crisis plans, including cyber security and supply chain disruption.
  • Investment risk management: EIIS compliance (so investors keep their relief), grant conditions and investor protections.

We help you access Ireland’s State supports and tax incentives, build them into your financial model and prepare strong applications.

The Government’s Action Plan on Competitiveness and Productivity focuses on research, innovation and skills, exports and foreign direct investment, creating and scaling more SMEs, and regional development. Budget 2027 added a €1 billion Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) programme to help Irish companies scale internationally while keeping their strategic activity in Ireland.

Ireland combines EU single-market access, an English-speaking common law system and a 12.5% corporation tax rate on trading income. The Government has committed to reducing red tape for SMEs, including applying an SME test to new government measures.

Your Local Enterprise Office (31 nationwide) is the first stop for small businesses, offering grants, mentoring and training. Enterprise Ireland supports innovative, export-focused companies, including feasibility grants of up to €30,000 for HPSU companies, the Pre-Seed Start Fund (up to €100,000) and the Innovative HPSU Fund (up to €800,000 in co-funded equity). IDA Ireland supports foreign companies investing in Ireland, and the SBCI offers State-backed loans through banks and other lenders.

Tax-advantaged schemes help you raise capital and reward founders: the Employment Investment Incentive (EIIS) for investors in qualifying companies, the Start-up Capital Incentive (SCI), Start-up Relief for Entrepreneurs (SURE) and Angel Investor Relief, all extended in Budget 2027. Budget 2027 also cut the capital gains tax rate from 33% to 31%.
